This
is my Bertram 28 Sportfish 'Dreamcatcher'. She is a work in progress
and may not see the water for another couple of years because I want her
done right. As you can see, she's been slowly stripped of everything,
her glass reinforced, bulkheads glassed over or replaced. I have removed
all wiring, and all plumbing since my plan is to outfit her with a pair
of Yanmar 240s.

She
was in a very sorry state when I found her but I plan to bring her back
t o her full splendor.

All plumbing
has been removed as well as 3 decades worth of antenas and, decorations
and junk! You wouldn't believe the amount of junk a boat this size can
accumulate over the years. I am removing it all and patching her glass
smoth to prepare her for paint.

Most of the guts were
shot so she will be getting a full transplant. As I refurbish this Bertram
28 I will post her progress.

Dreamcatcher will be getting a new diesel tank made out of Fiberglass
(above is the mold under construction). The tank will make use of every
bit of space and will hold close to 200 galons. I also replaced the cocpit
bulkhead with heavily reinforced foamcore, the Marine Plywood had seen
its last days. Below is a shot of the Hull. It had a few blisters but
most were tiny and were meticulously removed and repaired.
As I make more progress on my Bertram 28, I will post more pictures of
her progress.
Regards,
JB
